BASEBALL DIVISIONS
5 to 6: T-Ball
T-ball is a non-competitive baseball league for 5 and 6 year-old
boys and girls. Score is not kept. Emphasis is on teaching basic
skills. Players hit ball off a stationary tee if they are unable to hit coach-tossed pitches. Everyone on the roster
bats each inning.
7 to 8: AA
This baseball division is for 7 and 8 year-old boys and girls.
Emphasis is on skill development. Players learn to hit coach-tossed pitches.
Coaches pitch a maximum five pitches to each batter.
9 to 10: Minors
This is a competitive baseball division for 9 and 10 year-old boys and
girls. Emphasis is to prepare players for the Major divisions. In Minors, kids pitch. All official Little League baseball rules apply.
9 to 12: Majors
This is a highly competitive league for 10, 11 and 12 year-old boys
and girls. This is Little League's showcase division. These players
have the opportunity to play in the Little League World Series. Play is
under official Little League rules.
13 to 14: Junior League, 14 to 16 Senior League
Highly competitive baseball divisions for older players. Teams
may participate in inter-league district play. Little League Junior
rules apply, stealing is allowed, base-paths are 90 feet and mound is
at 60 feet, six inches. Big-barrel bats only. Pacifica's home field fro these divisions is Cooper Field on the campus of Terra Nova High School. We
play teams from Half Moon Bay, Redwood City, Menlo Atherton and
San Mateo. Total games can vary from 16 to 24.
